We will determine whether the printing is correctly bound in two places with PP bands.

In the frozen food manufacturing industry, similar to other industries, there is a process of packaging during shipping that includes labeling the product name and date, as well as securing it with PP bands. This time, we conducted an inspection during the shipping process. We assessed four locations based on three criteria: the printing in two places and whether the PP band was correctly secured. 【Inspection Setup and Results】 Using deep learning image processing, we were able to distinguish between OK and NG cartons as shown in the left image. In the left image, the yellow detection box indicates the date printing, the green detection box indicates the product name, and the light blue detection box indicates the detection of the PP band. The inspection points can overlap in this way. To simulate the actual environment, we placed a bar in front of the subject for evaluation. Since it is difficult to recognize the product name if it is obscured from a direct side view, we angled the camera to ensure that more than half of the carton’s text was visible during the shooting and inspection.

This time, we are considering an inspection method to distinguish between "R" and "L" before the parts are installed in the automobile products. The orientation of the bolt markings is inconsistent, and we are exploring the possibility of checking them while they are aligned on the parts feeder. 【Inspection Setup and Results】 By using the "Comparison with Master Image" feature of EasyInspector, we were able to determine the left and right bolts. We attempted to identify them using the R and L markings, but detection was not successful due to reflections. Therefore, in this verification, we reported that by inspecting the orientation of the threaded part of the bolt, we could successfully distinguish between the R and L bolts in a well-aligned situation on the parts feeder in 0.36 seconds.

In the initial simple inspection we will provide, we ask customers to prioritize their needs, and we will conduct free evaluations starting with the highest priority inspections. 【Inspection Setup and Results】 We conducted a simple evaluation to check for any mistakes in the insertion of the connector cables. As shown in the image, we were able to make a good judgment. Items that can be captured on the same screen can be inspected simultaneously. Depending on the PC specifications, it is generally possible to make judgments with an inspection cycle of about 0.2 to 0.3 seconds. In the free sample evaluation, we will first conduct a simple verification using the samples or images provided and report the verification results. In the simple verification, we will evaluate whether the desired detection/judgment is possible using our in-house equipment. If detection or judgment is possible in the simple verification, we recommend conducting a test (feasibility verification) assuming actual operation, where we will evaluate processing time and judgment accuracy. We will detect the bolt tightening positions at two locations and conduct a check to see if the bolts have been tightened more than twice.

At the request of a torque equipment manufacturer, we inspected the feasibility of confirming the positions for tightening bolts. The term "torque" generally refers to "twisting moment" or "rotational moment." There was a request to use a 180-degree web camera, and the camera was sent along with the sample product. The tightness of bolts is considered important across various industries. We hope to contribute to safer product shipments by utilizing image inspection. 【Inspection Settings and Results】 By using EasyInspector's "Color Comparison Inspection and Presence of Specified Color Inspection" function, we were able to detect the tightening positions of two bolts and check whether the bolts had been tightened more than twice. The bolts at the corners were detected by identifying the characteristic colors at each position, allowing us to specify which part was the torque wrench tightening position. To identify the bolt positions located at the top, bottom, left, and right, changes and additions to the inspection conditions are necessary. Additional software or similar tools are required to identify the current bolt positions based on the combinations of pass/fail judgment results.
